Mobile and web games, from concept to Google Play
Game Development
Soluease is a game development studio in Batam, Indonesia. We make casual and mid-core games for mobile and the web, for clients and as our own titles on Google Play. Because we publish our own games, we work through the whole cycle ourselves: design, art and sound, development, monetisation, release and the updates after launch.
Our games
- Oceanic Bliss: a calm one-tap jet ski game. Tap to jump off a wave, hold to backflip, and land in time for a burst of speed. Six zones with a full day and night cycle and changing weather, 18 jet ski skins, daily missions, a 7-day gift streak and an ad-free Zen Mode.
- Sawit Operation: a pixel-art snake game with an oil palm twist. Steer a bulldozer, clear land and grow a trail of palms behind you. Each zone has its own hazards, upgrades carry over between runs, and a Daily Challenge has Google Play Games leaderboards. Over 1,000 downloads. Read how we built it.
- Witch vs Zombies: an action game built in Unity, with touch controls, progressive difficulty, power-ups, boss battles and achievements, tuned to run on low-end as well as high-end Android phones.
What we do
Game design
The core loop, controls, progression and economy, designed so a new player understands the game in seconds and still has goals after a week.
Art and sound
Original art in the style the game needs, from pixel art to calm painted scenes, with music and sound effects to match.
Development
Unity and C# for mobile games, and web technologies for games that run in the browser or load instantly inside an app. We tune performance for low-end Android phones as well as the latest flagships.
Monetisation
Optional rewarded ads, carefully placed full-screen ads, and in-app purchases such as starter packs, currency packs and Remove Ads, set up with Google AdMob and Google Play billing.
Retention
Daily challenges and missions, gift streaks, achievements and leaderboards with Google Play Games services, and seasonal events that give players a reason to come back.
Release and live updates
Store listings, content ratings, privacy policies and data safety forms, then crash monitoring and regular updates after launch.
Ways to work with us
- A complete game: we design and build your game from concept to release.
- Part of a game: a playable prototype to test an idea, art, or a feature for a game you are already making.
- Games for brands: mini-games for campaigns, apps and events. See our gamification services for loyalty and engagement programmes.
Frequently asked questions
Which game engine do you use?
Unity for most mobile games, and web technologies (HTML5) for games that run in a browser or need to load instantly. We choose per project.
Can you publish the game on Google Play for us?
Yes. We can handle the release under your developer account, including the store listing, content rating, privacy policy and data safety form.
Do you make games for iOS too?
Yes. Our own titles launched on Android first, and we build for both Google Play and the App Store.
How do free games make money?
Usually with a mix of optional rewarded ads, a few well-timed full-screen ads and in-app purchases. In Oceanic Bliss, for example, buying Remove Ads also unlocks an ad-free Zen Mode, so the purchase adds something rather than only taking something away.
